In short

The wordspace app collects no data. Your text stays on your Mac. There is no account, no server it is sent to, no analytics.

This site uses no cookies and loads no third-party services. The server hosting it keeps essential technical logs (see below), for the minimum time needed for security.

The wordspace application

No data collected

wordspace runs entirely on your device. What you write — notes, headings, tables, images — is stored only locally, in a database on your Mac. It is never transmitted to us or to third parties.

No account

No sign-up is required. We collect no name, email or identifiers.

On-device intelligence

The intelligence features (fixing, rewriting, summaries, wiki) run on your Mac, via Apple Intelligence or a language model you choose to download once. The processed text never leaves the device.

Network use

The app accesses the internet in one case only: when you choose to download an intelligence model. At that moment the model provider (for example Apple or the model repository) is contacted solely to transfer the file. No content from your notes is sent during that operation.

No analytics, no ads

wordspace contains no usage analytics, telemetry, trackers or advertising.

No cookies

The site sets no cookies and uses no localStorage for tracking. That’s why there is no cookie banner: none is needed.

No third-party services

The site loads no fonts, scripts or assets from external delivery networks. The type is what already lives on your operating system. There is no Google Fonts, no analytics, no tracking social buttons.

Server logs

Like any web server, the one hosting the site may automatically record technical data on each request: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type (user-agent). These logs serve to run and protect the site (diagnostics, security, abuse prevention).

Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest in ensuring the security and correct operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention: logs are kept only as long as necessary for those purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

Legal bases for processing

The app involves no processing of personal data by the controller, so no legal basis is required: the data never leaves your device.

For the site’s technical logs, the legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in systems security.

Recipients and transfers

We share no personal data with third parties. We do not sell data. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.

The hosting provider acts, where applicable, as a processor for the site’s technical logs only.

Your rights

As a data subject, the GDPR grants you the right to: access your data, request rectification or erasure, restrict or object to processing, and data portability (Arts. 15–22 GDPR).

Since the app collects no data, for the content you write you exercise these rights directly on your Mac: it’s yours and it stays yours. For the site’s logs, or any question, write to support@hestudio.com.

Complaint to a supervisory authority

If you believe the processing of your data breaches the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country.

We may update this policy. The version in force is always the one published here, with the update date at the top.
